I’m a wine connoisseur in the sense that I like my wine red, and most often in a glass. Although I’m not the most discerning when it comes to vino, I do know that some wine is better than the rest.
So if you try to sell me on a collaboration between Barefoot and OREO Thins, I’m going to be…skeptical. And wondering if I finished off that bottle of Pinot last night. (Answer: yes.)
Yet here we are, in another surreal plot point of 2021. The wine company of your cheap college years has partnered with OREO.
Except, not your beloved “Double Stuf” – the OREO Thins version. Because when you have something great, you should always make it smaller and less satisfying.
But I digress. Here’s everything we know about the Barefoot x OREO Thins Red Blend that will make the holiday perfect gift for your brother’s annoying girlfriend.
What Is the Barefoot x OREO Thins Red Blend?
Unfortunately, mes amis, it is wine. And not one that you’re likely to see on a sommelier’s list any time soon. Because it’s limited edition, of course!…
As one would expect, the red blend will contain flavors of chocolate and cookies and creme. It will also feature notes of oak, blackberry, and dark cherries. Thank goodness we can always pick out the subtle tasting notes of a wine, because that actually sounds like a lovely little dessert melange. We’re always looking to get more fruit into our diet.
When and where can I try this pièce de résistance?
Starting December 9th, it will be available exclusively on the Barefoot website. And you won’t be getting a skimpy pour, here. Each delivery includes two 750mL bottles of wine and a package of Oreo Thins. A dinner for one, for only for $24.99!
At press time, there were no details as to how long this deal would be lasting. And by press time, I mean a gloomy afternoon where I’m sitting on my couch, writing this, and playing Post-It Note fetch with my cat.
