Juneteenth became a federal holiday in 2021, acknowledging the belated recognition of the end of slavery in the United States in 1865. (African Americans have celebrated this occasion since the late 1800s.) There are many various ways to celebrate this historic day, and Juneteenth-inspired nail designs are one possible option.
Many of these nail art ideas feature the colors of the Pan-African flag, or the Black Liberation flag, which has three equal horizontal bands that are red, black, and green.
Try creating them at home, or screenshot them for your nail tech. No judgment if you opt for the latter – we can’t even do a clear coat without it looking like a mess. We’re not sure how that happens, but it does.
