The new Batman movie, The Batman, hit theaters on Friday, March 4, and audiences are…well, freaking out. The Internet is swimming in Batman memes, and we are living for it. Under the cloak of darkness, of course.
And let’s be honest. We’ve all been waiting for this day since Robert Pattinson was cast way back in 2019. Sure, there was a mixed response. But luckily for him, his agents, and all the people who poured money into The Batman, it’s debuted as a success.
Critics and audiences are awarding it a rating of 85% to 92% on Rotten Tomatoes. We still don’t know why they didn’t go with “Rotten Bananas” instead, but we digress.
Other top-billed cast includes Zoe Kravitz as Selina Kyle (aka Catwoman), Jeffrey Wright as Lt. James Gordon, and Colin Farrell as The Penguin. We haven’t been this excited for a movie since The Dark Knight came out in 2008.
