Another day, another beauty trend to learn about. But before we go all America Ferrera and rage against the patriarchy for setting unrealistic beauty standards for women…we actually like this new one. So what, exactly, is strawberry girl makeup?
The term was coined on TikTok last week by Hailey Bieber, and it’s actually pretty simple to replicate. It plays into the whole “Clean Girl” aesthetic Bieber is known for, and that has grown in popularity over the last few years.
Gone are the days of caking on makeup. Now we’re glazing on makeup. It’s different. We’ll break down what this new strawberry girl aesthetic is all about, and how you can recreate it.
What is Strawberry Girl Makeup?
In a video Bieber posted on August 4, she provides a tutorial along with a voice over explaining her process for application. She calls it her “strawberry makeup look,” because the rosy blush affect leaves you looking positively peachy. (Before you comment, berry-y just doesn’t flow.)

Like all of Hailey Bieber’s makeup looks, this one offers the whole no-makeup makeup feel because it looks natural and fresh. One might even call it a strawberry glazed donut aesthetic. That one would be us. It is lunchtime after all.
Luckily, Hailey walked us through this one, so we can spell out exactly how to achieve this look yourself.
How to Get the Strawberry Girl Makeup Look
1. Rhode Beauty Glazing Milk, $29.00
Naturally, Bieber used many products from her own beauty line, Rhode, in the creation of this makeup style. We can’t blame a woman for getting her bag. Even if she’s like the world’s biggest Nepo Baby. Did we just say that out loud?
Anyway, the Glazing Milk is supposed to calm skin inflammation and boost hydration pre-makeup.

2. Peptide Glazing Fluid, $29.00
Called “Hailey’s signature step to dewy, glazed skin,” this fluid is supposed to visibly hydrate and plump your skin, leaving you with a dewy finish.
Read: dewy, not oily. The goal isn’t to look like you just got off a shift at the fry factory. Even though strawberries pale in comparison to a crispy, crunchy fry.

3. Eyebrow Gel
Next, Bieber brushes her brows with a clear gel. She doesn’t reveal which one she’s using, but we like this one from Anastasia Beverly Hills.

4. Tom Ford Shade and Illuminate Cream Contour Duo, $90.00
The next step is to use cream bronzer to add some color to your cheeks and brow line. You can probably skip this step if you’re still contending with those summer vacation sunburns.

5. Concealer, $31.00
Secrets, secrets are no fun, but Hailey doesn’t reveal which concealer she’s using, so you’ll have to make do with our recommendation instead. Sure, we don’t own a beauty brand, but we did win our fifth grade talent show.
We swear by the Tarte Shape Tape concealer. Use this under the eyes, near any fine lines, or on any other sections of skin that could use a little concealing.

6. Cream Blush in Dark Pink and Light Pink, $22.00
The blush is the crux of this aesthetic. In her video, Bieber alludes to new Rhode Beauty products coming soon, because she says, “I can’t say where the cream blushes are from…wink wink.” She does say that she mixed together a darker shade with a lighter shade, though. So you can do that, or just buy a medium shade. That’s how colors work.
Until she drops those new product deets, we recommend the Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez Stay Vulnerable Melting Cream Blush. It has a natural, dewy finish, which goes nicely with this look.

7. Peach Highlighter
The next step is undoubtedly our favorite part in any makeup application: adding that shimmer and shine, baby. It’s why we get compliments like, “wow, you look incredibly shiny!” And “did you go to a rave this weekend?”
This peach shade from Wet n Wild looks close to the one Bieber used in her video.

8. Liquid Eyeliner
No makeup look is complete without eyes. They’re also helpful for things like seeing.
She starts by adding some of the bronzer from before to her eyelids as shadow, followed by winged eyeliner. The Maybelline Master Precise All Day Eyeliner made us believe that we, too, could do a winged look, so we can’t recommend that one enough.

9. Mascara, $32.00
After a quick eyelash curl, go in with your favorite mascara. We can’t really tell, but we think Bieber was using this one from Hourglass based on the packaging. If the FBI ever needs an extra hand, we’re available for commission.
10. Pink Lip Liner, $25.00
The next step is to line your lips with a berry pink lip liner, and fill that in with the same cream blush you used earlier. We know what you’re thinking: blush on lips? Blasphemy! But just trust us on this one. If not us, trust Hailey.
11. Peptide Lip Treatment, $16.00
Finish off the look with some lip shimmer. Bieber uses the Peptide Lip Treatment from her brand, but you could go in with whatever lip gloss you have on hand and achieve the same result. Uhh, don’t tell her we said that.
