This season, it’s all about the bold colors. The “clean girl aesthetic” was cute, but it’s time for the “more is more” girlies to shine.

Heavily lined eyes are back, baby. Where were they, you ask? Chilling with our lost pencils somewhere around 9th grade. We’re sorry for leaving you in that nasty locker, grunge glam eyes. Welcome back into the fold.

To achieve this look yourself, you need a pencil eyeliner (not liquid – it’s harder to get that blurred out effect), an eyeshadow palette with dark grays and blacks, and black mascara.

Luminous skin has been in for a minute now, and we have to say we’re grateful. After growing up in the matte skin generation, our face can finally breathe easy knowing every bit of moisture doesn’t need to be blotted away. Skin that looks like skin, not a cartoon illustration of skin.

Get this look by starting with a natural finish foundation or a tinted moisturizer, and then layer on some highlighter. Our life’s motto is that you can never have too much highlighter. Oh sorry, did we blind you?

A traditional smoky eye look consists of various shades of browns, grays, and blacks. But it’s 2023. Up is down, left is right, cats are dogs. Okay, scratch that last one, or our cat with scratch us. You get the picture – it’s time to shake things up.

We’re seeing a rise in colorful smoky eyes on our feeds. Just as much pigment and contrast, in a more colorful palette. And it’s easy to recreate – you just need bright pigments and a steady hand. We can’t help you with that last part.

All you need to get this look is some brow sculpting gel and a brow pen to fill in any gaps. The style embraces bushy hair up there, while still keeping it under control. If it’s so bushy that you can’t read your texts, you did something wrong.
