We love LEGO, and appreciate that they’ve learned to cater not only to children, but also to those of us who used to be children. So everyone, unless you’re Benjamin Button. The upcoming spooky holiday would be incomplete without the new festive Halloween LEGO kits for 2023 to go with it.
The most anticipated new arrival is the Sanderson sisters’ house, which looks just like the Hocus Pocus movie set which inspired it. But there are some other spooky additions, like the Shrieking Shack from Harry Potter, and a Disney’s Haunted Mansion kit.
We hope you weren’t saving your money for something else, because these Halloween LEGO kits are about to wipe us all dry in the best way.
17 Halloween Lego Kits to Get in 2023
1. Hocus Pocus: The Sanderson Sisters’ Cottage
A fan-inspired set that’s been teased since last year, we can finally get our hands on this beaut. It features six characters, including Winifred, Sarah, and Mary Sanderson and their adversaries, Max and Dani Dennison and Allison Watts, plus the cat version of Thackery Binx.
The rooftop opens to reveal spooky details, and there are even pieces to create the graveyard and child-baking oven. You could totally use it for cookies, though, if that’s more your taste.
Available at LEGO
2. The Shrieking Shack and Whomping Willow
Adding onto the series of Harry Potter-themed LEGO sets is this Prizoner of Azkaban scene at the Whomping Willow and Shrieking Shack. Unfortunately, the character pack doesn’t include Draco Malfoy, so if you want to recreate Hermione’s iconic punch, you’ll have to use your imagination.
It does, however, include all the surviving Marauders (Remus Lupin, Peter Pettigrew, and Sirius Black), their animagus forms, and the iconic trio. Plus, the snow means you don’t have to take it down ’til Christmas. We don’t make the rules.
Available at LEGO
3. Minecraft: The Skeleton Dungeon
This blocky Minecraft set includes skeletons and caves, plus it’s only 364 pieces, making it a quicker build than some of the others on this list. We’re talking one or two episodes of New Girl, not a whole season.
Available at LEGO
4. Black Panther
It’s hard to tell from the photo, but this Black Panther creation is almost life-sized at 18-inches high. It comes with the recognizable necklace and moveable fingers, allowing you to change up the display.
This addition is one in a series of Marvel figures, so you can add onto this collection with other characters, like Venom. We’ll be over here wondering what contribution we’d have to make to the world to earn our own LEGO head release.
Available at LEGO
5. Mini Haunted Mansion
With the recent release of the new Disney Haunted Mansion movie, this kit is sure to fly off the shelves this Halloween. The miniature set includes a miniature display model of The Haunted Mansion ride, with a view of the dining room from the back.
It also includes an exclusive Butler minifigure. He looks stressed, and rightfully so. The ghosts didn’t even invite him to the party!
Available at LEGO
6. Star Wars Spider Tank
We are buying this set for one reason and one reason only, and perhaps surprisingly, it has nothing to do with the Spider Tank. Nope, we’re in this for Baby Yoda. Grogu has our hearts. The rest of it is just background noise.
Although, to be fair, this background noise is pretty cool, too. The toy can be played with after building, with claw clippers and stud shooters, and other minifigures including Bo-Katan Kryze and The Mandolorian.
Available at LEGO
7. Venomized Groot
What in the world? Groot, made creepy?! Why, yes. Yes indeed.
Cute Baby Groot has been taken over by Venom in this exciting set, and now your nightmares are complete. You can even make him turn all Venom if you aren’t creeped out enough. In which case, want to see the new Exorcist movie with us?
Available at LEGO
8. Disney Villain Icons
What’s scarier than a Disney villain? If you aren’t four years old, probably a lot of things. Like the cost of housing, for starters. But these spooky icons will make for cute Halloween decor.
Each villain minifigure also comes with a larger container, like a poisoned apple, book, or VHS tape to store it in.
Available at LEGO
9. Batcave Shadow Box
Marvel gets a ton of screen time these days, but personally, we’re Batman stans. This extensive Batcave is the thing of Bruce Wayne’s dreams. It comes with two different Batmans and five exclusive minifigures, from Catwoman to Alfred Pennyworth to The Penguin.
It even features a Batmobile, and tons of gear and other details. The best part? You don’t have to be a kagillionaire to enjoy it. Just a four-hundred-dollar-aire. So us, on payday!
Available at LEGO
10. Spider-Man Final Battle
This set is straight out of the final battle in the Spider-Man: No Way Home movie. It’s got all the iconic characters, including the three versions of Spider-Man. Our favorite is Andrew Garfield and we will not be taking alternate opinions at this time.
If you buy this for no other reason than the fact that you’ll get a Zendaya minifig, we’d respect that. In fact, what other reason is there, really?
Available at LEGO
11. Hogwarts Castle and Grounds
There is already an existing Hogwarts castle set that is a fraction of the size and cost of this one, but this is perfect for a more casual – or less patient – fan.
As long as it doesn’t bother you that the minifigures are proportionately huge, you’ll love it. And hey, the wizarding world needs more giants like Hagrid, anyway.
Available at LEGO
12. LEGO Haunted House
LEGO’s version of a haunted house has everything. From a creepy elevator to smartphone-powered lights, you can genuinely creep your friends out with this thing. Alexa, play scary music.
It even comes with ten figurines, including ghosts, ghouls, and poor suckers who happened upon this place. Not to be insensitive, but that’s what you get for leaving your couch.
Available at LEGO
13. Ghostbusters ECTO-1
Who you gonna call? Ideally not us, because we’re Millennials and hate talking on the phone. These guys are notorious phone people, though.
The LEGO Ghostbusters set comes from the reboot of the old classic movie. It’s got several mechanized features, like a Remote Trap Vehicle and ghost trap on the back.
14. The Pumpkin Farm (Minecraft)
Another Minecraft kit, this one just screams Halloween. Between the giant pumpkin house and guy who looks disenfranchised because he thought pumpkin picking would be more exciting than it really is, we truly have no notes.
Available at LEGO
15. Trick or Treat Set
The trick here is, we truly don’t know whether the guy answering the door is a real skeleton, or that’s just a costume. If it is a costume, we need the number of his personal stylist, stat.
16. Monster Fighters Haunted House
With two glow-in-the-dark ghost minifigures, a vampire and his bride, a zombie chef, and a butler, you’re in for a great time with this haunted house set.
That is, if your idea of a great time is hanging out with a bunch of monsters that want to take you down. Just a fun, chill Saturday.
Available on Amazon
17. Scooby Doo Mystery Mansion
No Halloween LEGO kit list would be complete without the Mystery Gang. Scooby-Doo and his pals, Velma, Shaggy, Daphne, and Fred reunite to discover the secret of this mystery mansion.
Although, on second glance, we realize Fred is absent. Not that he’d be much help anyway. Velma or bust.
