Whether you’re with the Empire or the Rebellion, putting together a group costume or dressing solo (insert Han Solo joke here), we’ve got some incredible Star Wars costumes to inspire you.
These amazing creations represent some of the most beloved (and one of the most hated) characters in the Star Wars pantheon. As super fans, we love them all. Yes, even the Jar Jar Binks one, although we have a difficult time suffering through The Phantom Menace because of him. How wuude!
If Jar Jar is too grating to even dress up as, we get it. You can always go with a classic like Princess Leia, power couple Padme and Anakin, or a crowd-pleaser costume like Baby Yoda. Yes, we know his name is Grogu, and we don’t kriffing care.
26 Star Wars Costumes
1. Sabine Wren
Sabine Wren offers so many fun options for accessorizing—long hair or short, helmet or not. You could even carry a can of spray paint with you. Just don’t write “Ghost Crew” all over your party host’s walls.
2. Ezra Bridger
Putting together an Ezra Bridger ‘fit might be one of the less complicated and more comfy Star Wars costume options. As long as you don’t try to include a pet purrgil. Although we’re impressed you’d consider it.
3. Hera Syndulla
Hera does it all: a Revolutionary leader, a pilot, a general, a mom, and she looks damn hot in the process. We often feel like we’re at our best when things are at their worst, too. Like when we drop our breakfast burrito in the car.
If we had the skills to craft our own lekku, we’d give this look a shot.
4. Ahsoka Tano
We are addicted to the Ahsoka show, and could only dream of having the snarky gravitas that Rosario Dawson brings to the character. And the Jedi skills, of course. But the snark is a tad more realistic for us.
5. Aayla Secura
If you look good in blue, try portraying Aayla Secura this year. But you’ll have to keep up a French accent all night, so don’t slack on your Duolingo.
6. Princess Leia (baby)
We finally have a contender who might beat Baby Yoda in cuteness. We don’t even have a baby, but this Leia costume is making us rethink. Oh yeah, diapers.
7. Family Costume (Leia, Han Solo, Yoda, Chewie)
The Star Wars universe has a costume for everyone, so get your family (or chosen family) together. Just don’t make anyone dress as a Bantha.
8. Padme and Anakin
The Lake gown is one of Padme’s most beautiful dresses, and makes for an eye-turning super soft Star Wars costume. Just don’t be surprised when your date gripes about how much he dislikes sand all night long. We get it, Anakin.
9. Senator Padme Amidala
Dressing as Padme Amidala could be a complex cosplay involving a lot of makeup and hair skill, if you go for her Queen era. But luckily for less ambitious or skilled costumers (hi, that’s us), you can wear her more casual Geonosis gear and still look fierce. Cutting up a t-shirt? That we can do.
10. Darth Vader
We want to come to the Dark Side this Halloween, but find our lack of time to build a costume disturbing. Okay let’s be real, it’s a lack of effort. Our screen time tells a convincing story.
11. Rey
Rey in her desert gear is a perfect costume choice that will give you an excuse to dress your dog as BB-8. And send us pics, pleaseandthankyou.
12. Kanan Jarrus and Hera Syndulla
Seeing General Syndulla and her son, Jacen, in Ahsoka is a reminder of how much we shipped Hera and Kanan in Rebels. And his Dad jokes. Dammit, now we have to go watch it again.
13. Cal, Jedi Fallen Order
As we watched Cal in Fallen Order, we had a hard time not thinking of Cameron Monaghan in eyeliner and hot pants in Shameless. Do with that information what you will.
14. Group of Rebels
We love a group costume, and most especially a comfy group costume. And this is cooler than going as the Mystery Gang for the fifth year in a row. Hey, you said you’d re-wear that Velma costume and you did, gosh darn it.
15. Rebel
You can show your creativity by bringing a character to life in a DisneyBound way. Not only is that a particular talent in itself, but you might be able to put it together with clothes you already have.
Good for last-minute costumers, which we always seem to be. Weird that thinking about costumes for two months doesn’t telepathically ship one to us.
16. Princess Leia
There’s Baby Leia, and there’s Grown-up Leia—very grown-up. Somewhere, Salacious Crumb is laughing. And laughing.
17. Nightsisters
We are all about space witches, and we’re also about ready to start a Doom Metal band called Night Sister. Know any drummers?
18. Poe Dameron and Rose Tico
We can all definitely use more Rose Tico, as we didn’t get enough of her in the films. Maybe a group girlfriend costume as a Rose flash mob?
19. General Kenobi
Well, hello there, General. It turns out this is the costume we’re looking for. Next up: our missing wallet.
20. Jedi Master Quinlan Vos
Quinlan Vos always seems so relatable—we all struggle between the light and dark side, don’t we? We also like to put on Adam Ant makeup and sleep in the library. Our local librarian isn’t as thrilled.
21. Darth Atroxa
Darth Atroxa is a criminally underrated and underused character. We love to see her living on with such cool cosplay. And we’ve been told we look good in red, so…
22. Princess Leia and Han Solo
Old school Leia and Han are a perfect couple costume. And less creepy than dressing as Leia and Luke as a couple. Spoiler alert?
23. Chewie
It might not seem that fun to dress as the character referred to as a “walking carpet,” but this version is adorable. We’ll reclaim the “fuzzball” insult if we look this cute doing it. That doesn’t give you license to up your shedding, Fido.
24. Baby Yoda (Grogu)
We still haven’t recovered from our first sighting of Baby Yoda, before we learned we’re supposed to call him “Grogu.” This cosplay brings the signature combo of cuteness and vulnerability. But let’s not forget he’s a voracious hunter of frog’s eggs, too. Baby Yoda contains multitudes.
25. Peli Motto
One of our favorite lines in any Star Wars property is when Peli says, “If this thing ever divides or buds, I will gladly pay for the offspring.” Saaaaaaaame, Peli. Same.
26. Jar Jar Binks
Has Jar Jar reached the “so bad it’s good” category yet? We don’t think so, but imagine how funny it would be to dress as him for a Halloween party? Wuh-oh! Wesa dyin’ here.
